ETT

As the tutor for Elastic Therapeutic Taping, the Skin Approach in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Sam continues to work closely with Esther de Ru, who formulated the approach. Not only uses taping principles as an adjunct to therapy but as a key part of her thought process and treatments.

As well as teaching the courses to occupational therapists and physiotherapists, Sam is able to do mentoring and discussions for taping on a 1:1 basis.

If you are a therapist wanting to attend a taping course, part of the team hoping to run a taping course or a therapist looking for 1:1 support with taping, please do contact Sam for more details. In the meantime, the information below may help.

Who: For Physiotherapists and occupational therapists interested in taping, who have previously done taping courses or who are looking to attend an ETT course.

What For Courses: Inhouse courses – for the therapy team within your setting can be arranged. It is a set price for the 2 day course with a maximum of 20 delegates.
External courses – If there is no course scheduled within the country you are based in, you may want to consider organising a course. Sam will be able to provide you with the information you need and support the process. We recommend between 14 and 20 delegates to ensure full learning opportunity and to allow for all costs to be covered.

Combination courses – It is also possible to have a mix. Consider how much funding is available from your setting and how many external delegates you would need to cover costs… then you can fill the seats with internal staff.

For Mentoring: If you have attended an ETT course and would like Sam to do some case discussion or see a patient with you, this can be either face to face mentoring or video link (travel time and expenses will be added to the fee for face to face).

Where: Almost anywhere! For a course, the venue would need to be able to accommodate a seated teaching area and a clinical area, ideally with a minimum of one plinth to a maximum of ten. It is worth considering parking and local amenities.

When: At present Sam is quite flexible and can teach a 2 day course during the week or over a weekend. Likewise with Mentoring. Just to advise, courses tend to take (from experience) between 6 and 18months to organise.

How: Simply email Sam on Hello@PhysioSam.co.uk and she will get back to you. Prices will be discussed on contact.
