Sam is a physiotherapist with 20 years experience, she has a BSc in Physiotherapy and an MSc in Neurological Rehabilitation. Within Paediatrics Sam has worked for the NHS in London and Somerset, as well as with private patients. She is a member of the HPCP (Health and Care Professions Council), CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) and the APCP (Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists).
Sam has worked with children from ages 0 – 19 years, with a variety of conditions – from torticolis to complex neurological conditions. Previous experience includes working within NICU, childrens wards, specialist schools, mainstream schools, clinics, and families homes.
As a therapist keen to maintain up to date and relevent information with regards to treatment, Sam has attended many courses (including hydrotherapy, quality FM, elastic theraputic taping, and many more). Her main area of specialism is elastic theraputic taping (the bright coloured tape you see on athletes). She is one of the country’s only paediatric tutors on the topic, teaching other therapists how to use this adjunct. Sam is also currently completing research at Plymouth University into the use of taping.
